Hi everyone.
This is my first blog and my first post. It's late and I'm tired but I noticed there had been five hits/visits or whatever you call them and I didn't want people to find just "nothing".
I am a retired general contractor and living in Panama Central America and I started this blog to let people see the pictures I take. I photograph events, fiestas, confirmations, cabalgatas, bailadores tipico and I photograph the events for a charity down here called Nutre Hogar almost whatever anyone wants me to photograph. I do my post processing in Apple's "Aperture".
I try to do as little as possible to a picture and leave it as natural as it was. I will remove shadows and smooth skin at times.  If a person has blemishes I will give them the option of removing them or not. Some want to see themselves with them gone others want to show themselves as they are.
I don't sell my pictures. I give them away to the Panamanians. If they want them printed I will get that done and only charge what it costs me.
June 16th I will be photographing Nutre Hogar's "High School Fest 6" and will post some of those pics.  I did it last year for HSF 5 and got some good pics but really struggled with the lighting. It ran from total dark to bright white strobe lights with colored strobes flashing.  It was really tough for the camera to figure out what to do with aperture, shutter speed and ISO.  I basically held the shutter release down and the camera shot the pic whenever it was ready. White balance, ha, forget it. The colored strobes changed the white balance every second or so.
     More later.
